Most of what LiFrA has been focused on in the last months has been getting food, clothing and other essentials to people who are in need. Our amazing Nicole, who is our main “boots on the ground” helper, has an amazing network of people who know what the needs are. She is also connected to a number of helpers who volunteer their time and are ready to step in to help as needed. In addition to coordinating all of that, Nicole also helps people navigate difficult life situations, complex interactions with various agencies or other situations where people just need a positive voice to vouch for them.
Just a few days ago, Nicole was able to help a couple get an apartment. She has also accompanied people to CPS and has been a resource for people in abusive situations. Nicole is not only our boots on the ground; she’s also a listening ear, a caring heart and a warm hug when people need it most.
