Judy Kitt - President
Judy worked as a biotech researcher in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years, working first in basic research and then in clinical research in cardiology. Her work in worldwide clinical studies included travel to research sites around the U.S. and various countries, and clinical trials involving tens of thousands of patients. For the last 10 years, she has been the president of a nonprofit organization focused on the bridge between science and spirituality. A native Californian, she attended U.C. Davis, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics. She currently lives in the Bay Area and donates her time to numerous organizations, including the PTA of her children’s school, where she was president for two years. She was inspired to found LiFrA after witnessing the tireless work of volunteers on the ground who were bringing help and comfort to fire victims both during and immediately following the Camp Fire.
Nicole Orozco - Director
A California native, Nicole Orozco has spent her adult life caring for other people in the San Francisco Bay Area and the communities of Colusa County. Professionally, she was a certified nurse assistant in care homes, clinics and through home health services. She has done advocacy work for children through CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), for rape victims and others needing crisis intervention. She has always been civically engaged, having served on as a board member for Colusa County Behavioral Health.Nicole was one of the many “boots on the ground” helpers during the Camp Fire, assisting at evacuation camps and helping survivors find shelter, food, clothing and other essentials. In the time since the fire, she has volunteered with sheriffs to bring relief to survivors in the form of gift cards. She is registered as a volunteer with Crowd Source Rescue and is currently working with community leaders to start food banks in the near future.
Matthew Campi - Board Treasurer
Matthew Campi is a Retired Law Enforcement Officer. After a thirty-year career with one Bay Area agency he currently focuses on Consulting and Human Resources to include security services and background investigations for various law enforcement agencies.He has a strong foundation in mentoring and leadership, holding a Master’s degree in Public Sector Leadership from St. Mary’s College, Moraga, CA.Born and raised in San Francisco he attended Saint Ignatius College Preparatory, City College of San Francisco and the University of San Francisco. He currently lives in the East Bay and is active in volunteering his time with Cities and Towns in the East Bay.LiFrA is a way for Matthew to continue with his lifetime theme of helping others and trying to make the best of any and all situations in an organized and common-sense approach.When time allows watching sporting events, playing golf, cooking for friends and neighbors as well as assisting his wife Cynthia with her passions is at the top of his list as an enjoyable way to feel fulfilled.
Cynthia K. Campii - Board Secretary
Cynthia K. Campi is a small business owner and Bay Area native. Having worked in the international travel and hospitality industries for many years, she gained valuable experience working in fast-paced, demanding environments and realized that planning and attention to detail were crucial to the success of any undertaking.Later, as a household manager for a busy Silicon Valley executive, she mastered the art of multi-tasking to handle the needs of a family of five and their demanding schedules. Keeping things organized became a way of life for her and now, helping others to live an organized, efficient and productive life has become a personal passion. Her ability to stay organized enables her to volunteer at many organizations. She is currently administering the Danville Senior Lunch Program. She also works with charities such as the Contra Costa Food Bank, The Crayon Initiative, Operation Smile, East Bay Children’s Book Project and others.
